Nook was established in 2014 after being an in-house design team for a boutique architectural building company. The shift was an exciting opportunity to expand our ability to offer a service, knowledge base and experience to our clients along with our construction industry networks.
Our experience has instilled a practical build awareness that complements our creative designing. This means as we come to understand your vision we can articulate this into your plans and specifications clearly for all involved.
Our Vision is to provide everyone with the option to an Architecturally Designed home that is low maintenance and self-sufficient that works in harmony with the environment.
Our Mission is to deliver the highest value to our clients, employees and stakeholders as innovative leaders in lifestyle enhancement. We aim to research and implement, cost effective methods of future proofing residential dwellings against running costs in the lifespan of the home.
Using his experience collated across fifteen years in the construction industry, Che works directly with all our clients and internal team as well as specialist consultants ensuring project progression through all the phases.
Day to day he is responsible for the operational management of the business and systems integration and coordination. Strategic and long term planning occupy the rest of his focus.
Che continues to work on his self-development with ongoing courses and workshops on business management and strategic leadership.
Outside of work Che enjoys keeping active at the gym and relaxing with his family. He can also be seen cruising the South Island country side on his motorcycle.

Having fourteen years experience in the building industry, Warren has from the very beginning, been passionate about providing a quality, stress free, knowledgeable consultation to all of our clients.
Warren brings transferrable skills from his 20 years spent in the television industry where he was involved in directing various projects covering television documentaries to corporate promotions.
Warren is able to use those creative skills to interpret our client’s vision and transform their ideas into the reality of a new home.
Warren has completed an introductory course in Passive House design, giving him an understanding of the clear link between design and energy efficiency in a home. A design workshop with the Building Biology and Ecology Institute, covering the design of passive solar heating, the use of alternative energy sources and the sustainability of building a new home. So designing a home that is energy efficient and comfortable is second nature.
When Warren has finally been pried away from his creation station his next pleasure is mountain biking on one of the many courses Christchurch has to offer. He also enjoys his family and watching his children grow and progress along with their young adult lives.

From the start Joel has shown a maturity and dedication to his work beyond his years, his ability to use his intuition and problem solving skills makes him a valued member of our team.
Apart from being Mr Detail in the office Joel also loves to get out to the great outdoors camping and hiking around the Banks Peninsula.
